Spring Campout

  • Don't forget to bring camping chairs, if you have them.
  • Bring appropriate foot attire -- should not be open toe or exposed heeled footwear.

Cost For Spring Campout
  • There is a base-family charge of $35 (for one scout and one parent), which covers the cost of camping site rental, preparations, pack activity costs, and food.
  • There is an extra $10 charge for each additional parent or child, 5 or older, to defray the cost of the additional food and pack activities.
  • Financial assistance may be available, on a case-by-case basis.  Please contact the Cubmaster or Committee Chair in advance to see if we can confidentially assist you - no one should miss out because of money.
General Information about this Camp

  • Camp Brosig is located 55 miles west of Houston - approximately one hour and 10 minutes drive time. Take I-10 to Sealy, and exit at State Highway 36. From the traffic light, turn left and go 5.1 miles until you pass the intersection with Farm Road 331. Drive another .6 miles to Trenchman Road. Turn left and go 1.6 miles to the Camp Brosig gate on the left. Turn in, and drive to the farmhouse on the hill. The web address to the park information, amenities, and map is:  Camp Brosig.
  • Activities may include the following items: working on Cub Scout advancement, a service project to be determined, den time, family time, the Community Camp Fire Saturday night, an organized game (i.e. kickball), and other activities to be announced.
  • Please contact Adam M Helleck at 832-6394879 for any food allergies, dietary requirements, or additional questions.
  • Late arrivals: Unknown! We will update or call campsite beforehand at (713) 756-3304.
  • If you would like to volunteer to assist with camping preparations, please contact Adam M Helleck at 832-639-4879.
  • Meal preparation and cleanup assignments by den and volunteer opportunities will be posted at the campout.
  • The campsites reserved for our pack have water only and no electricity.  Bathrooms and shower facilities are near the campsites.

 Parent Action Items
1. Complete the Campout Reservation Form located at the bottom of this webpage.
2.  Complete BSA Health Form for anyone who did not go on the 2015 Fall campout. The link is on the left hand side of the page, under the Camping Tab. 
3. All forms (campout reservation and health forms) and payments must be completed by 3/29/2016. Completed forms can be given to Pack leaders or directly to Adam M Helleck.
4. Get ready to enjoy the fellowship, while creating memorable experiences.
